Daa #CurlyGirlTAG!
Being a curly head is a privilege, only if you can see it.
Welcome back to my blog, love. As everybody on this planet (who knows me) knows that I am a curly-wurly gurl with 3b hair type. Like in all of our lives, I too had a time where I hated my hair. I hated everything 'bout them- why they are not straight, why they can't just flow w/ the wind and look cute, why I can't be like other girls!
Two years back I found that it is not only me but many other ppl 'round the world also have curls! They all are struggling w/ them too. I came across many curly YouTubers and I found that how vast and diverse this curly community is!! I learned to love my hair and be how I am behind the cover. I realize I need to work w/ them; I need to love them and let them know that I do. And honestly, loving my curl summed up w/ loving myself.
I am still working w/ my curls to achieve my dream hair. In this 'still on journey' i have experienced a bit, and since you are a part of my fam, today I am gonna share it all w/ you!
let's dive in!
What inspired you to go natural or wear your hair curly?
I belong to a typical brown family. Nobody was born curly, but me and my sister. It was moreover like we had no choice (as a kid). But later on, when I finally decided to deal w/ this, I enjoyed working with them. I'd say Youtube has played a major role in my decision for going curly. Even if I'll ever be asked to ditch my natural curls, I won't at any cost!
Who are your favorite curly hair idols?
As I've said, YouTube has been a big help in my 'going natural journey'. To be specific, I love and I am soo much inspired by Peniel Tovar (CurlyPenny) and Lisette (Luhhsetty). And I have literally seen Lisette's channel growing and getting fame i feel so proud. I always get so excited when they upload new videos!

Which YouTube curly girl would you trade curls with for a day?
If I'll ever get such a chance, I'd love to trade curls w/ Camille Johnson (OffBeatLook). I recently found 'bout her and I am obsessed w/ her pretty dyed hair. Swapping hair w/ her would be so cool!
If you could have only one product for a year, which product would you choose?
Err, this is tough. So my sister got me this leave in conditioner by African Pride and I am in love w/ it. It makes my hair soo defined and healthy and soft, like oh my god, what was I doing w/o this product?! and plus point lies in its aroma. It is so sweet and fruity. The full name is African Pride Olive Miracle Leave-in Conditioner. I got this product from the USA, so I don't think it is available in India, but you can always order it online.
If you could change one thing about your curls what would it be?
Though I love my curls, there is something that I'd like to change 'bout my hair. If I ever could, I'll change my hair's health. My hair has been a lot of environmental damage, dust, breakage and carelessness. Now I wanna love them and live with them. I am working to change my hair's health (in a positive way) but if only I could ever do this faster.
What’s the craziest thing you’ve tried on your “natural hair journey”?
We have to go back to 2015 for this. That was the time when I was learning and trying 'natural' moisturizing stuff on my hair. I tried the egg mask on my hair. Being a pure veggie person, I didn't even know how it smells. And oh my gee, raw egg smells worse than hell!😥 I couldn't even keep that stuff on my head for 5 minutes! I washed that thing off and decided to never put that thing on my head--ever!! That was soo terrible thoo😂😂
What’s your secret ingredient that your curls LOVE the most?
Talking specifically 'bout an ingredient, my curls enjoy Shea butter and stuff like that. Currently, am using shampoo and conditioner by Shea Moisture and even the deep conditioner that I have, is a one w/ Shea butter in it (by the same brand). My hair loves hair creams and hair butter sort of things and I am searching more products to get my hand on and try 'em out!
Alright, I have two combinations in my head rn.
1. Iha Biospume Shampoo (all hair types)+ Shea Moisture raw shea butter deep treatment Mask
2. Iha Biospume Shampoo (all hair types)+ Leave-in Conditioner by African Pride Olive Miracle.
Iha's shampoos definitely clean soo well but somehow, it gives me acne, and when I say acne I mean a looot of ACNE! so I'd love to merge it's cleaning property w/ something that suits my skin well. So we have two products that perform their job really well and moisturizes my hair like anything. I am talking 'bout African Pride Olive Miracle Leave-in Conditioner and Shea Moisture raw shea butter deep treatment Mask
aah! it would be perfect! An Indian brand w/ an American brand, woaa!! I'd be the first one to buy if this ever happens..
What is your go-to hairstyle when you’re in a rush?
One hairstyle that I do all time, at home, at school, during exams, hanging out like everywhere! If you'll ever see me somewhere on the street or you'll come to my place or even if you'll spot me on Mars, you'll find me in buns! yes, BUNS! they are soo effortless and my fav. go-to-hairstyle. Even if I'll have time I'll use it in doing a perfect tumblr donut bun instead of doing something else😅
If your curly hair had a name, what would it be and why?
"BUNTY BABES". well, don't ask me why. this name just popped up in my head when I read the Que. and hey, it sounds cute!
