"I regret taking such good care of my skin" ~said noone ever

Ps. I promise you a 5 min skincare routine.

Welcome to my blog! I preach and believe in self love. There's a huge misconception that I'd like to clear now. And let me tell you, I was a part of it.
"If I love myself the way I am, why should I change?"
Self love is about loving the true you, the raw you and being comfortable in your body. But it's not (I repeat, NOT) an excuse to not make yourself better or stop growing.
If you think this and hence you're not doing anything to make your life worth living, or achieving your dreams, honey, your mind's playing tricks on you. You gotta get out of this before it's too late. Get up!
For me, skincare is a form of self love. It's telling your skin that you love her, in her language. If you follow your skincare religiously, you're surely gonna see results.

Today's post is for everyone beginning with skincare and looking for a minimal skincare routine or just want to brush up their basics!

I promise this will just take 5 minutes from your 24 hrs and it'd be worth your investment.
As always, all the products mentioned are listed at the end of the post.
Let's dive in!
*to the world of skincare*

CTM (v.)
an abbrev. for Cleanse Tone Moisturize

1. Cleanse

The first step in your skincare has to be cleaning your skin and taking all the dirt off.
You should pick up your face wash based on type of your skincare.

Ps. Do not buy foam face washes. They strip natural oil from your skin. Restoring it will incorporate extra steps in the routine and since we're keeping it minimal, we'll avoid foam based face washes.

u s e:
Gel based face washes - for normal, combination, or oily skin

balm, oil based face washes - for dry, sensitive skin

Ps. Massage your face with the product for a minute. This will only save so much of your time. Don't forget to clean your hairline, around your brows, your jawline, around your nose.

5-1=4min left

2. Tone

This is basically done after cleansing. People use a toner to remove the dirt that's left even after cleaning. But we've cleansed generously (w love) for 60secs, we'll complete this step in 20secs!

The real reason to use a toner is to prep your skin for moisturizer so that she absorbs it better.

If your toner is in a spray bottle, directly spray it on your face and gently pat a few times. Let it soak in.

If not, then just take some of it on your hand, spread it on your hand and gently cover your face w your hands and let it rest for 2 secs.
Repeat this on your whole face (the covering part)
Then let your skin soak it in.
*recommendations at the end*

4min-20secs= 3.5min30secs left

Finally the last step! Just grab your moisturizer, spread it on your fingers and apply it on your face. I personally pat it into my skin, this way it penetrates better. But that could be tiring so it's okay to skip patting as a beginner ig.
*recommendations at the end*

3.5min 30sec-50sec= 3min 30sec

If you have some fresh acne or any bothering zits, you can use the following cremes for spot treatment (only at night time):

Don't forget!
Lip balm! Lips are part of your body and you gotta count them in skincare routine for your face.
